Myopia management is the process of reducing the onset of myopia progression. We understand that more children are developing myopia. If you are myopic, the chances of your children being myopic is greater than 50%. And, the likely hood is that they will end up more myopic than you.
While glasses and soft contact lenses can correct myopia, until now, they have been unable to slow its rate of progression. This also reduces the chance of developing high levels of myopia (-6.00D or more) which is associated with an increased risk of eye diseases associated with short-sightedness such as retinal detachment and glaucoma.
